Learning relies on motivation. Identifying current student motivations becomes essential when assessing behaviors and developing associated behavior strategies. Remember, effective reinforcements are based on student’s interests, not what others think he or she should be interested in. Use these resources below to explore and identify student motivations via direct observations and/or interviews with the student or people who know the student well.
